Welcoming Zina Charles, SJP’s New Social Worker! 05.22.25

SJP is delighted to announce the addition of Zina Charles to the Direct Representation team!  Zina joins SJP as our very first Social Worker which represents not only an expansion of our dedicated team, but also a growth in our ability to service our clients and meet their needs.  Since its inception, SJP has dreamed of having a social worker and building a social work program to serve our clients, who are some of the most vulnerable members of our community.  Zina will primarily work with SJP's clients, both during incarceration and throughout reentry, to assist them with navigating benefits and services in DC.  She will also work with SJP's attorneys in a consultative role to assist them with case needs and advice.  Zina joins us with years of experience as a forensic social worker with deep knowledge and roots in both DC and Maryland.  Welcome to SJP, Zina!  Read Zina's biography here.
